Her Obsidian Intentions - Contemporary Latina Artists

Exhibition Dates: April 6 - May 1, Cliff Gallery Reception Date: April 25, 2015 at 2 p.m., Cliff Gallery

Her Obsidian Intentions: Contemporary Latina Artists, showcases the work of five female artists of Latina descent currently living and making art in Texas. The work reflects a subtle sophistication through an emphasis on installation, the interaction of artist to space, and a consideration of intimacy between the artwork and the viewer. Featured works consist of installation, collage, and video. Curated by Mountain View College art professor, Cristina Medina, the show allows viewers to see the artists work without a limit of a stereotypical theme and instead reflects their individual vision in art as female artists.

Artists Featured: Ann?Michèle Morales, Elizabeth Hurtado, Irma Martínez Sizer, Adriana Martinez?Gonzalez, and Sara Cardona.
